My work has appeared in Prime Number Magazine, Carolina Woman, The Shoal, the News & Observer and Mamalode.
My short story "Plow Under" was nominated for a Pushcart Award by Prime Number Magazine, a finalist in the Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction Contest in 2015.
I also have published nonfiction, including "My Sister in Blue," Mamalode, April 2015.
My essay “Raising,” was a grand prize winner in Carolina Women magazine, received honorable mention in Salem College’s 2014 International Literary Contest, and First Prize Winner of the 23rd Annual Carteret Writer’s Contest for Non-fiction.
